Dr. Chris Russell, M.D.
Founder & Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Russell brings extensive and unique talents to the company as a practicing Neurologist and software developer. He earned a B.S. in Computer Science from Georgia Tech in 1987, and a M.D. from Emory University School of Medicine in 1994. He is board-certified in neurology having completed his residency at Emory University in 1998. Dr. Russell was Chief Resident his final year there and has been in private practice with Peachtree Neurological Clinic in Atlanta, Georgia, since 1998.

Dr. Russell’s career includes work as a software engineer from 1984-1991 for Command Control Inc., on a variety of commercial and government projects. Dr. Russell was compelled to create NoteSwift in 2008 as no one could read his writing and he does not like to use a mouse.

Wayne Crandall
President & Chief Executive Officer

Wayne’s 30-year career in technology spans sales, marketing, product management, strategic development and operations. Prior to NoteSwift, he was President of enChoice who specialized in ECM systems and services following the sale of CYA Technologies to enChoice where he was the president and CEO.

Wayne was a co-founder, executive officer, and senior vice president of sales, marketing and business development at Nuance Communications and was responsible for growing the company to over $120M following the acquisition of Dragon. Before Nuance, he was the European managing director of Xerox Imaging Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Xerox Corporation, where he established them as the market leader in document recognition software throughout EMEA and the Pacific Rim.

Wayne’s other career successes included Kurzweil Computer Products, Philips Information Systems, NV, Lexitron (a division of Raytheon Data Systems) and Savin Business Machines. Wayne is much funnier than this executive summary. He brings humor and wisdom to the team, and the ability to find the right person for every job (“I know a guy!”).

Art Nicholas
Vice President of Sales & Business Development

Art is responsible for Sales and Business Development for NoteSwift. Art’s 25-year career includes Channel, Direct and OEM sales and sales management positions. Prior to NoteSwift, he was Vice President of Worldwide sales for NovoDynamics an advanced pattern recognition and analytics software developer. In that role he established key partnerships with IBM and Canon as well as established channel distribution for North America, Asia and the Middle East. Before NovoDynamics, he was Vice President of Sales and Technical Services for Nuance’s Document Application Software group leading a sales organization responsible for $250 million in annual revenues. Earlier in his career at Nuance he was Director of Dragon Healthcare sales, launching the Nuance sales effort into Hospitals and Physician practices.

Art’s other career successes included roles at Xerox Imaging Systems, Canon and Koch Software Industries.  Art holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan and has officially banned the colors Scarlet and Grey from his home.

Lou D’Amato
Finance & Operations Director

Lou began his career with NoteSwift in 2012 as a financial consultant, before joining the team full time in 2015. In his role as Finance & Operations Director, Lou oversees financial reporting, internal controls, operations, cash management, and general administrative duties for the team. Before joining the NoteSwift team, Lou gained extensive experience in financial analytics and operations management while managing the implementation and consolidation of financial systems throughout North America and Asia and the Middle East.

He earned a B.S. in Accounting from Western New England University. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family.

Allan Straton
Director of Products 

As Director of Products, Allan provides guidance and direction to the NoteSwift development team, and is responsible for the organization’s development road map. Allan joined the NoteSwift team in 2014 as a Principal Software Engineer before taking over as Director of Products, and is responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from planning and development to delivery and implementation.

Before joining the NoteSwift team, Allan held the role of Chief Architect of Imaging at Nuance Communications, where he oversaw creation of new products and patenting of new technologies. Allan earned a B.S. in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Tufts University, as well as an M.B.A. from Northwestern University. He enjoys spending his free time playing guitar and hanging out with his wife and children.

Rachel Edwards, C.M.A.
Customer Education Director

Rachel joined the NoteSwift team in 2013 as a Product Specialist, before taking over as Customer Education Director in 2017. She is responsible for training and educating new users, as well as assisting the sales and marketing teams with pre- and post-sales efforts, including conducting webinar demonstrations and providing customer support. Rachel also assists the development team by providing customer feedback and bringing any issues or questions raised by customers to their attention.

Prior to joining the NoteSwift team, Rachel was a practicing pulmonary nurse, and later became a Certified Implementation Consultant of EHR Solutions for Allscripts, during which she trained new EHR users and helped customize Allscripts Professional EHR to meet their existing needs and workflows.

Rachel earned an Associate’s Degree from East Georgia College in General Studies / Pre-Nursing and Certified Medical Assistant license from Ogeechee Technical College. She is passionate about being a great wife, mother, and YiaYia to her family. During her free time, she can often be found on the softball field with her daughter, or dancing up a storm wherever the mood strikes her.

Tim Platt
Principal Software Engineer

Tim is a vital part of the NoteSwift development team, handling software research and development and helping to make our development road map a reality. He joined the NoteSwift team in 2014, and pioneered the development of the patent-pending Dynamic Matching functionality that makes Samantha so effective.

Prior to joining the NoteSwift team, Tim gained experience as a Principal Software Engineer at Nuance Communications, where he contributed to the research and development of some of their core products. Tim earned a B.S. in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and enjoys playing the viola during his free time.

Liz Treichler
Creative Director

Liz provides creative direction for NoteSwift’s sales and marketing efforts, including overseeing all messaging, design, website and social media efforts. Prior to joining the NoteSwift team in 2017, Liz gained more than a decade of experience in a variety of marketing roles, including public relations, business development, account management, content creation, website development, and social media outreach for a range of companies and individuals in a variety of industries.

Liz earned a B.A. in Journalism from Baylor University, and is passionate about travel and experiencing new cultures. During her free time, Liz enjoys spending time in the great outdoors, exploring new restaurants, and hanging out with her family.

Jacqueline Oglesby
Customer On-Ramp Director

As an Implementation Specialist, Jacci is responsible for new product installations, upgrades, and providing ongoing technical support for all NoteSwift products. Prior to joining the NoteSwift team in early 2017, Jacci served as a Clinical Implementation Analyst for multiple healthcare organizations in Kentucky and Arizona.

Jacci earned a B.A. in Business Communication from Rosemont College and is currently in the process of earning a B.S. in Health Informatics from Western Governors University. She is a dedicated volunteer with both domestic violence and animal rights organizations. During her free time, she enjoys volunteering in her community and spending time with her five dogs.
